Biography

Christian Lepiez was born in Toronto Ontario in 1995 and is a borosilicate flame worker from Bolton Ontario. Christian started his adventure in glass when he was a young teenager buying glass and looking into the culture of pipe making. It was in 2012 when Christian first manipulated molten glass at Glen Williams’s visual art center, where he completed his high school co-op placement.  Since then Christian has been attending Sheridan College where he has pursing his BA for Craft and Design for Glass. Christian has a passion for flame working and the culture around pipe making. He has experience in detailed work like dot stacking, fillacellos and retticellos, lippies, inside-out fuming, bridging and more. Christian also makes a signature sculpture he calls “Holy Balls”. Christian takes inspiration from everyday life and events and puts all his energy and emotion into his glass art. Christian looks forward to finishing school and opening up his own studio and one day a gallery. His aspirations are to expanding his work and collaborating with other artists from around the world.
